Once you have held your licence for a while and have gained experience why not pass those skills along by becoming a Flight Instructor yourself? You no longer even have to hold a commercial licence to instruct, a valid EASA PPL & medical, minimum 200 hours total flight time and a pre-entry skills test could get you on your way.
Herefordshire Aero Club offers full time courses from Monday to Friday. Depending on weather the courses take between 5 to 6 weeks to complete. Accommodation in one of the club’s static caravans on site can be arranged, dependent on availability.
The course comprises of 125 hours of ground instruction to brush up on your own technical knowledge and learn how to prepare and teach pre-flight briefings and technical lessons. There will also be 30 hours of flight training comprising 25 hours of dual instruction and 5 hours mutual flying to practice flight demonstrations.
